“Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” (Psalm 23:4)
The rolling hills and lush valleys of Israel are a sight to behold. In these very landscapes King David, once a humble shepherd boy, likely tended his sheep. With an intimate knowledge of both the soaring peaks and the perilous valleys, David penned these profound words of scripture, reminding us that God is ever-present, even as we traverse through the darkest valleys. Today, we lift our hearts in prayer for our brothers and sisters on the Wall of Prayer who may be navigating challenging times, trusting that God walks alongside them. We also extend our prayers to the people of Israel, who are currently facing their own deep valley of war and death. May they feel God’s comforting presence, through Jesus Christ.
