“Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. Is anyone happy? Let them sing songs of praise.” (James 5:13)
In times of trouble and in times of joy, God calls His people to respond by turning their hearts toward Him. As part of the Wall of Prayer, we choose to meet every report about Israel, whether heavy or hopeful, with prayer and praise. When sorrow rises, we intercede. When good news comes, we give thanks. In every season, we lift Israel before the Lord who hears and cares.
Lord, we bring Israel before You in both her burdens and her blessings. For those in distress, bring comfort, protection, and deliverance. For those who rejoice, let their joy overflow in songs of praise to You. Teach us, as Christians and Jews together, to respond to every headline and every situation with prayerful dependence and grateful worship. Let prayers rise from every corner of the earth on behalf of Israel, and let praise rise for every sign of Your mercy and faithfulness. May Israel know Your nearness in trouble and Your gladness in peace. Amen.
