“You are my God, and I will give thanks to you; you are my God; I will extol you.” (Psalm 118:28)
This scripture’s profound message of gratitude toward God resonates deeply across both the Old and New Testaments. Regardless of our circumstances, where we live, and what we possess, we find ourselves with far more reasons for gratitude than for complaints and worry. This truth spans all of humanity’s eight billion souls, particularly for those among us who love and serve Jesus Christ, reflecting on the immense love and care God extends to us.
Lord, today we come to you with hearts full of thanksgiving and praise for your unwavering love and the abundant blessings in our lives. We also lift up the Jewish people in Israel, praying for your protection over them against all harm, in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
