“I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.” (Psalm 17:6)
When we call upon the Lord with confidence, we remember that He is not distant or indifferent. He bends close to listen to the cries of His people, and He is faithful to respond in His time and His way. As our Wall of Prayer surrounds Israel, we lift our voices together, trusting that God hears and will act for her protection and peace.
Lord God of Israel, we call on You today with humble and trusting hearts. You are the One who hears prayer, the One who does not turn away from the cries of Your people. Turn Your ear to Israel, protect her borders, guard her cities, and cover her people with Your mercy and strength. Give wisdom and courage to her leaders, comfort to those who grieve, and hope to those who are afraid. Strengthen Jews and Christians around the world to stand in faithful prayer and support, believing that You listen and You answer. Let Your presence be a shield around Israel, and let Your peace settle upon Jerusalem. Amen.
