“Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.” (Colossians 4:2)
God calls His people not to occasional prayer, but to a steady, devoted life of talking with Him. Our prayers for Israel are not empty words, they are a faithful response to His call to stay alert to what is happening and to give thanks even as we ask for His help.
Lord, teach us to be devoted in prayer for Israel, watchful to the needs of the land and thankful for every sign of Your faithfulness. Keep our hearts attentive to the dangers and pressures Your people face, and stir us to pray with perseverance, not growing weary. Protect Israel’s borders, give wisdom to her leaders, and courage and safety to her soldiers and security forces. Strengthen families, comfort the suffering, and encourage believers to stand firm in hope. As we remain watchful and thankful, let our prayers be part of Your work of protection, peace, and blessing over Israel. Amen.
