But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you. (Matthew 5:44)

As Israel faces ongoing attacks and the region remains on edge, we turn to the Lord’s command to pray even in the presence of those who threaten and persecute. We ask God to protect Israel, strengthen her people, and keep our hearts anchored in righteousness rather than bitterness, trusting Him to defend what is right and restrain the forces of violence.

Lord, we lift up Israel to You in this hour of war and uncertainty. Stretch out Your hand of protection over her people, her cities, and those standing watch in her defense. Grant wisdom, courage, and restraint to Israel’s leaders as they confront real and present danger. And as You command us to pray for those who persecute, we ask that You would bring down evil schemes, silence the weapons of terror, and turn hearts away from hatred and bloodshed. Let justice prevail, let mercy not be forgotten, and let Your peace surround Israel like a wall. Amen.
